Welcome To Newby
A warm welcome to Newby Hall CC to our two latest signings Paul and Mike Ainsley from Sharow. The father and son duo have been an integral part of Sharow's success over the last few years but they have decided they need a fresh challenge we look forward to providing that at Newby. Paul has been playing in the Nidderdale league for a fair few years now and is well respected for his seam bowling and is more than capable with the bat as well. Mike is definately the future! Has a massive amount of potential and is contributing more and more in senior cricket as he learns and develops his game. Bowling with good pace and able to bat anywhere in the top/middle order, Mike should do very well for Newby. We wish you both all the best for the forth coming season both on and off the pitch and hope you enjoy your cricket here with us at Newby.

If only dad had listened to me about 12 years ago, when he was at his peak, probably getting a bit past it now, Sunday mornings hurt more and more as the years pass especially when you get to 40, or so I'm told! Sure Mike will be ok though. Only joking mate, look forward to seeing you, is there any cups we could draw our ex club in?????
