2008 Teams
Lots of new players this year...lots of players not been to pre-season nets...good few young guys coming through...what's your strongest team for the first week assuming all are available? Time for those wanting a game to start training and not rest on previous performances (myself inclued). Your thoughts welcome. My effort is below: 1XL P. Virr L. McKittrick S. Griffin P. Yeadon S. Lots of others not getting a mention...the point of this isn't to pick the teams (or to try and claim that I knowwho has been training) it's to point out our strength in numbers...and the need for those wanting a game to attend training! This year wil really see some competition for places across the club and this can only be a good thing. Young lads wanting to break into senior cricket who have been netting and those new players coming into the club will offer a fresh challenge to everyone. As previsouly said I would really like to see more bodies at nets on Friday's. I know this isnt everyone's cup of tea but if you want to play you have to make some effort. Players will find themselves being selected on performances so as Adder has said, lets have a big effort for the club. The season is shaping up to be really good with everyone playing good cricket so lets enjoy it. Have a good Easter and lets hit the ground running!!

Do we really have that many players availiable ?!? Thats amazing !! I'll have to shed of that 2lbs i put on over christmas to keep fit enough to stay in the 2's !!
