What a night!! Well done to Steve and everyone else that contributed to what was an exceptional night. It was a pleasure to be there and to be associated with the club and lets hope that this will be the first of many to come in the future. The speakers were excellent, very funny and kept everyone hanging on their every word, I wish I could remember some more of the jokes though!! The auction was very good with some superb prizes and some real bargins. I dont know how much money was raised for the club but it is all needed and very welcome. Thanks also to those players who could make it as well, it was great to have everyone together near the start of the season. A real positive start to 2008, lets keep it going!

I'd like to say, I agree with everything you say Matty. It was a great night and after a long horrid winter, it was great to catch up with the boys before the season opener...... can't wait to get going now!!

Totally agree, cracking night! Great to hear about the new "overseas", but for a moment I was worried about the player Muff said wanted to return to playing, his comment was "a bloke with big fat arse wants to come back", and all I had in my line of vision was fiddes! I was, oh right, and then I thought balou! welcome back to the whites mr chairman!

Great night, thanks for all the hard work Adder. With regards to the re-donning of the whites, it will be nice for a younger player to get a few runs for the seconds, rather than relying on the over 40's and Shiz, you never know you might even get a bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to echo the thanks to Adder for all his effort putting on Saturday's event. We had a brilliant night and now are considering a move to larger premises to display all of the stuff we bought. Not sure about the Martin Johnson shirt though - it appears to have been used as a rag at some point to mop up a wine spillage. If you wanted to hold the event again in the future we would be delighted to support the club by taking a table again. Great news regarding Lenny, that is a massive signing for NHCC. H
